The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MassCPAs), the state’s professional association representing 11,500 members, today announced that Molly Sullivan will join the organization as Vice President of Government Affairs. She will assume the role full-time on September 5, 2023.

Sullivan will lead the Society’s government affairs team dedicated to advancing legislative and regulatory policy priorities that protect the integrity of the CPA license and move the profession and economy forward in Massachusetts. She will also serve on the Society’s executive leadership team, providing strategic counsel on legislative matters affecting the organization and its members.

“We are excited to welcome Molly Sullivan to our talented team,” said MassCPAs’ Deputy CEO Zach Donah. “MassCPAs has a solid foundation and long history of being the voice of reason on issues that impact the accounting profession, business and individual taxpayers across the state and the economy as a whole. Molly’s substantial public policy experience will strengthen our advocacy efforts that promote an economy and business climate where our members, and their clients and industries they serve, will thrive.”

Sullivan is currently Vice President at the respected public affairs firm Rasky Partners. She has over 10 years of experience in the legislative and government relations sectors and has represented a wide range of clients, from nonprofits and associations to national corporations. She has built relationships with key stakeholders and successfully developed legislative priorities that drive businesses forward. Sullivan also previously served in the Massachusetts State Senate for senators Cindy Friedman, James Timilty and John Keenan.

“MassCPAs is the only association actively protecting and promoting the CPA profession in Massachusetts, and our commitment to advocating for our members is not only a strategic priority, but it’s also at the heart of our organization,” said Donah. “Molly’s deep knowledge and work on Beacon Hill will add tremendous value to our members, and we are thrilled to have her join the team.”
