As part of its 13th annual Week of Caring in November, the staff and partners of Withum across 21 regions in the U.S. volunteered a combined 4,000 hours toward charities and public service, including assisting with food banks, park clean-ups, toy drives, senior centers, 5K runs and other activities. The contributions benefited more than 80 organizations.
“Give Back” is one the core tenets that comprise the Withum Way, the accounting firm’s code that it promotes among team members. The firm says that volunteerism and community outreach are integral to its culture. Other initiatives include a national intern day, PTO donations and scholarship sponsorships.
“Having the capacity to give back, whether it be with time, action or money, is a privilege,” said Pat Walsh. This was the first WWoC under Pat’s tenure as Managing Partner and CEO. “It is not only vital to Withum’s culture, but it instills volunteerism in the next generation of professionals. As the firm grows, I’m proud that we’re able to expand the reach of WWoC to create a positive impact in more communities. We want to be known in our neighborhoods, old and new, as a force for good.”
