My journey with Outlook Accounting and Taxes has been nothing short of extraordinary. Since its inception 12 years ago, with just three clients, the firm has undergone an exceptional transformation, achieving an astounding 438% growth in both revenue and clientele since 2020. Witnessing the impact we’ve had on both local and international communities has been truly humbling, emphasizing our commitment to quality and dedication to our clients. One of the primary reasons for our growth is our collaboration with TaxFyle, a national leader in the tax industry. Our commitment together to bring the best in class has flourished into one of my most meaningful professional partnerships. I’ve played an integral role in their continuous growth, where I’ve been serving as a subject matter expert on a variety of issues, contributing to pricing calls, assisting with new dashboard designs, and handling complex engagements. I have consistently been ranked among their top five accountants nationwide for the past three years and I was honored with the Certificate of Excellence distinction in 2023. Amidst this success, I had the opportunity to lead a passion-driven project where I co-founded SimpliFlow, a groundbreaking AI-powered solution set to revolutionize tax processes, data entry, and analysis in the industry. Collaborating with my business partner, Chris E., we are poised to usher in a new era in the tax industry and revolutionize the data and automation landscape. This honor is the icing on the cake to what will be a transformational year!

What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?
I am committed to making a positive impact both domestically and globally that is built on intention, vision, purpose and passion led work. One of my greatest passions is for my Croatian heritage which has driven me to start multiple property development projects in Croatia, creating job opportunities for a community in need. Additionally, I have cultivated strong international connections, enabling us to provide support to foreign taxpayers by delving into foreign tax laws and developing comprehensive, long-term tax strategies. Guided by a strong sense of ambition and sustainability, I have successfully established three international businesses and four domestic enterprises with the unwavering support of my wife and my family. All my endeavors aim to create employment opportunities both on a global scale and within the local community. 

Current Professional Reading / Listening
Currently I am reading Ikigai byHector Garcia and Francesc Miralles and Grit by Angela Duckworth. Both books are inspiring and urge individuals to simplify their lives by pursuing what sparks joy for them while building perseverance and a strong work ethic. They genuinely offer a very sane perspective: that true success comes when we devote ourselves to endeavors that give us joy and purpose rather than chasing the next big thing. Life is built on a series of small moments, so enjoy the journey and the people that make you whole. I dedicate this honor to my grandparents, Baba Vinka and Dedo Pero, my wife Alyssa, my mother Lidija and the remainder of my family.
