Clark Schaefer Hackett to Add CPA Firm Rolfes & Swisher

The top 70 accounting firm is set to acquire fellow Cincinnati firm Rolfes & Swisher in a deal that will become effective July 1.

Top 70 accounting firm Clark Schaefer Hackett & Co. is set to acquire fellow Cincinnati CPA firm Rolfes & Swisher in a deal that will become effective on July 1.

Financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed. Owner Jim Swisher, partner Alan Rengering, and their team will be working from Clark Schaefer Hackett’s downtown Cincinnati office.

The partnership expands services and expertise in accounting, tax compliance, tax consulting, and business advisory services for closely held and family owned businesses.

Gerald J. Rolfes & Associates, the predecessor to Rolfes & Swisher, was founded in 1969. In 2004, Jim Swisher purchased the practice and established Rolfes & Swisher.

Founded in 1938, Clark Schaefer Hackett has 600 employees across 10 offices, which are located in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and one in Mumbai.
