CLA Celebrates More than 700 Advancements

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP), the eighth-largest accounting firm in the United States, recently announced more than 700 advancements across the firm. Olga Yasinnik Promoted to Partner at AAFCPAs

Boston, MA (July 1, 2024) — AAFCPAs, a preeminent 350+ employee CPA and consulting firm, recently announced the promotion of Olga Yasinnik, CPA, MBA to Partner, effective July 1, 2024!

Olga is a leader in AAFCPAs’ Community Impact Human Services and Community Development practices and a go-to resource for nonprofits with vast federal grants and complex Uniform Guidance compliance requirements. She has a deep desire to help nonprofits thrive and has developed a focus in consulting. In fact, she recently gained the moniker as “Lease Queen” having led the firm’s lease standard implementation task force, responsible for analyzing the new accounting regulation to ensure our firm’s practices align with current standards and advising clients on how these changes affect their financial reporting and operations.

When not advising clients of the firm, Olga is recognized as a mentor and talent cultivator. Her commitment to sharing her knowledge and developing successors has fortified AAFCPAs’ capabilities and helped to develop a pipeline of emerging leaders.

Olga is the 2023 recipient of AAFCPAs’ partner-nominated Joel Aronson Character Award in recognition of her dedication to our clients’ well-being and the generosity of her time towards others, including fellow team members and communities in need.

Barnes Wendling CPAs Announces New President

Barnes Wendling CPAs, a Cleveland based accounting, tax, and advisory firm recently announced that Rosemary Rehner, CPA, CEPA, will lead the firm as president, effective July 1, 2024. She succeeds Jeffrey Neuman, CPA, JD, who has led the firm since 2000.

Rosemary joined the firm in 2007 and serves as a director in the accounting and assurance services department. Previously, she was a senior manager in a national firm’s assurance and advisory business services group, working on audits of large public and nonpublic companies in the professional services, manufacturing, distribution, and construction industries.

In addition to performing audits of nonpublic companies, she leads the firm’s employee benefit plan audit practice group, assists clients with internal control consulting engagements, leads the firm’s SOC 1® and SOC 2® engagements practice, and assists with information technology portions of financial statement audits.

Rosemary, as the firm’s first female president, will lead a team of 14 directors and a staff of 85, located in three offices in Cleveland, Sheffield Village, and Sandusky, Ohio, as well as remote workers in locations across the country.

Rosemary currently serves on the Peer Review Report Acceptance Body for the State of Ohio and on the North American Region Committee of the MGI Association. She has also served on the Technical Issues Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She is board president of Greater Cleveland Volunteers, and a board member and audit committee chair for the Cleveland Play House. She is a graduate of Notre Dame College of Ohio. She resides in Avon.

Neuman will continue with the firm as a director and client service executive.

Centri’s Christopher Mora Earns Philadelphia Business Journal 2024 Corporate Leadership Award

Centri Business Consulting, LLC, one of the industry’s fastest-growing and most respected accounting and advisory firms, recently announced that Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Partner and Capital Markets Practice Leader Christopher Mora received the 2024 Corporate Leadership award from the Philadelphia Business Journal. The honor was awarded at an event held on July 11, 2024, at the Grand Belle at the Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.

The Corporate Leadership Awards recognize chief financial officers and other C-suite executives’ creation of strategic initiatives to drive growth and profitability while enhancing their companies’ positioning within their markets, along with their commitment to supporting local communities through nonprofit and charitable work.

As CRO, Mora is responsible for executing Centri’s growth goals across service lines, industry practices and target geographic markets. He works closely with the firm’s segment leaders to deliver revenue-building initiatives while developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with clients.

Ashley M. Gatchell Joins Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA as an Associate

Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA, recently announced the addition of Ashley M. Gatchell to the team as an Associate. Ashley’s expertise spans a variety of client engagements, including accounting, compliance, tax return preparation, and special projects, making her a valuable asset to the firm.

Joining Nathan Wechsler & Company in 2024, Ashley brings with her a strong academic background. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colby-Sawyer College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Her academic excellence is further highlighted by her membership in the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business and her receipt of the Business Administration Baccalaureate Award from Colby-Sawyer College.
