Kaitlin Morin, Supervising Senior
Kaitlin Morin has been promoted to Supervising Senior. Kaitlin’s exceptional skills and leadership have greatly contributed to the firm’s success. CohnReznick Announces South/West Regional Leadership Transition

CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, recently announced that, Jason Burian will succeed George Klenovich in his role as the South/West Regional Managing Partner, upon Klenovich’s retirement on January 31, 2025. Burian currently serves as the Chicago Office Managing Partner.

First joining CohnReznick in 2009, Klenovich has served the firm in several key positions – as Chicago Office Managing Partner, as a member of the Executive Board, and in his current role as Regional Managing Partner, South/West. Under his leadership, the South/West region has grown to include 10 offices and more than 700 employees and has expanded into several new markets including Dallas and Denver.

Burian joined the firm as a senior associate in 2004. He was elected a partner in 2014 and has served as Chicago Office Managing Partner since 2017. During his tenure, Burian helped double the revenue generated by the Chicago office by diversifying the client base and industries supported by the office. Focusing on operational excellence, he also led a partner group in transforming the processes and culture of the office. Burian currently serves as a member of the CohnReznick Executive Board.

According to the Los Angeles Business Journal, this special section of the Los Angeles Business Journal honors the LA region’s most influential women financial services professional Those selected for inclusion were chosen based on the impact they make on the profession and the broader Los Angeles community.

Bassett has 25 years of audit and accounting experience. In her current role, Bassett leads a variety of projects at the national level that drive the efficiency and effectiveness of attest engagements firm wide. She also provides accounting and auditing technical consultation to engagement teams throughout the firm. She is an external speaker on a variety of accounting topics and has written several articles published by the firm and various external publications.

CohnReznick Adds Two New Leaders to Valuation Advisory Practice

CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, recently announced that two new principals have joined its valuation advisory services practice. Brad Hirsch, ABV, will serve as the practice leader and Anthony Doughty, CFA, joins as a principal. Both Hirsch and Doughty are based in Chicago and have extensive experience involving financial, tax-related, and asset-based valuations across the public and private sectors.

Brad Hirsch

Brad Hirsch, ABV, has more than two decades of valuation experience focused on valuing business enterprises and intangible assets for transactions across a variety of industries with a specialization in the industrial and consumer industries. Additional valuation experience includes mark-to-market valuations of illiquid private equity investments, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and leading integrated deal teams for multi-billion-dollar transactions.

Before joining CohnReznick, Hirsch was a principal for a Big Four firm’s Economic and Valuation Services practice where he led the U.S. valuation practice for the industrial manufacturing and aerospace and defense sectors. As a part of this role, Hirsch was the global lead partner for a strategic Fortune 50 aerospace and defense client. He earned an MBA in Finance from The University of Illinois Chicago, a BBA in Accounting from Western Michigan University, and is Accredited in Business Valuation from the AICPA.

Anthony Doughty

Anthony Doughty, CFA, brings more than 25 years of experience valuing business enterprises, intangible assets, and financial instruments. Anthony specializes in the valuation of complex financial instruments including options, warrants, debt, common, and preferred securities, for financial reporting and tax purposes.

Before joining CohnReznick, Doughty was a managing director for a Big Four firm’s Economic and Valuation Services practice and a key thought leader for the firm’s complex security and stock compensation teams. He earned a BS, Finance, cum laude, from Northern Illinois University, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Chicago.

Forvis Mazars adds technology consulting practice to serve construction clients


Forvis Mazars, LLP, ranked among the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, is bolstering the services it offers clients in the construction industry through the launch of its Construction Technology Services consulting practice.

The practice is designed to help construction companies move forward with digital-first strategies to streamline financial reporting and project operations, enhance communication and collaboration, and more easily access real-time data to make informed decisions faster. The new offering builds on Forvis Mazars’ 100-year legacy of serving clients in the industry.

Managing directors Steve Maddox andJim Wagner are among the leaders of the new consulting practice. The pair were founders of ConTech360, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based construction technology firm that joined Forvis Mazars effective Sept. 1 following a previously announced acquisition of assets. They join a team that serves thousands of clients across the country and consistently ranks among the top accounting firms serving the industry.

The new practice is also augmented through the firm’s recently announced status as a Trimble Authorized Business Development Partner.

A tailored approach to helping clients define a vision for how and why they use technology is a key aspect of the practice. This may include thorough evaluations of current processes and tech stacks, identifying future-state requirements that consider growth and scalability, and a systematic review of potential software solutions.

BILL Hires Payments Industry Leader Mary Kay Bowman as EVP, GM of Payments and Financial Services

BILL (NYSE: BILL), a leading financial operations platform for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), today announced Mary Kay Bowman has joined as EVP, GM of Payments and Financial Services. As a member of the executive leadership team, Bowman will oversee the payments and financial services business, reporting directly to CEO and Founder, René Lacerte.

Mary Kay has over 20 years of global payments strategy, product development, and operations experience. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of commerce and financial services, including online, cloud, and mobile commerce. Most recently she was Head of Global Buyer, Seller and Platform Product and Solutions at Visa, leading the strategy for acceptance products and solutions, driving the development and delivery of new services and solutions to transform the payment experience. Prior to that, she was Square’s Head of Payments, overseeing engineering, product, and operations teams. She also spent 11 years overseeing Amazon’s global payment acceptance, issuance, and gift card programs and led global payments for Digital River. Mary Kay holds a degree in Business Administration and Art from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
