These women embody the idea that “if you can see it, you can be it,” inspiring women to take their seat at the table.
“Women are leading the way on many fronts in this profession and beyond, and this exciting event supports the growth of those women by providing an abundance of educational experiences, discussions and opportunities to connect,” said Crystal Cooke, director of diversity and inclusion at AICPA & CIMA. “The summit is also not just for women — anyone interested in learning how best to continue to support and advance women and overall inclusivity in the accounting and finance profession is not only welcome but encouraged to attend. The resources and tools they will gain from this event will continue to strengthen them as leaders in their workplaces and in the profession as a whole.”
Sessions will cover a wide range of relevant areas, from workplace strategies to timely technical topics like artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. There will be time carved out for mentorship and networking opportunities, as well as health-centered activities like yoga and self-defense and preservation.
“The Women’s Global Leadership Summit is the place for community, personal growth, and reflective planning for both work and life,” said Jeannine K Brown, chair of the AICPA & CIMA Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee. “WIEC’s intention for the Summit is that everyone who attends has an experience that feels tailor-made for them. Each attendee will leave the event prepared to increase their capacity as leaders, cast a vision for more inclusion on their teams, and gain new ideas and insights to apply to future planning of their personal and professional goals. My favorite part of the Summit is when I see women who attend realize they’re in a community and not alone because other women in the profession face and overcome similar challenges.”
The Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee members work closely with AICPA staff to promote and support the success of women to advance the profession together.
