UHY Unveils First Rebrand in 20 Years

The global network's new brand identity includes a green color scheme and logo, as well as the new tagline "Connect to possibility."

UHY International, a global network of accounting firms that includes Farmington Hills, MI-based UHY Advisors, a top 30 firm in the U.S., has launched a new brand identity—its first in two decades.

“The new brand—which includes a far-reaching overhaul of every aspect of the brand’s look, feel, and messaging—reflects the network’s deeply interconnected, collaborative network of firms across nearly 100 different countries. Under the new identity, each of the 334 offices in the network will fully adopt the UHY name strengthening the power of the brand across the globe,” UHY said in a media release. “UHY’s new logo features a striking shield icon, symbolizing the agility UHY clients need and the protection UHY firms deliver. The bold stripes curve upwards and forwards reflecting the ambition that drives UHY member firms’ growth and their mission to propel each clients’ business forward.

“The network’s new brand identity—including a bold new green color scheme and logo—is a major departure both from the network’s previous branding and from the traditional branding you might expect to see in the accountancy profession,” UHY added.

The rebrand also includes the new tagline “Connect to possibility,” which the firm said “captures the far-reaching potential for growth and collaboration that member firms gain from being part of the UHY network.”

“Today’s UHY International is a very different organization than it was a decade ago. We’re shaped by shared values, informed by diverse thinking, and powered by innovation and tech,” Roberto Macho, chair of UHY International, said in a statement. “For member firms, cross-border work now makes up a far greater proportion of what they do than ever before. That continues to bring us closer together as a network, reflecting our approach as a single, unified entity. That’s now much more clearly supported in our visual brand.

“Our research of member firms reinforced a strong consensus that every firm in the network should lead with the unified UHY brand,” he added. “It is one that has become synonymous with empowering dynamic businesses worldwide. We’re here for our clients whether they are growing, managing, transitioning or transforming their businesses.”

The UHY International network was founded in 1986 by U.K. firm UHY Hacker Young and U.S. firm Urbach Kahn & Werlin, now known as UHY Advisors. The network now covers 96 countries, employs more than 9,700 professional staff, and is among the top 20 global accounting firm networks.

“The logos of accountancy firms and international accountancy networks typically fall into a sea of sameness using traditional blue tones. The vibrant greens and our refreshed tone of voice now truly reflect our strength, prosperity, and appetite for growth—not just of UHY member firms but of their clients too,” said Rhys Madoc, CEO of UHY International. “We have an ambitious goal of increasing the size and the geographic coverage of the UHY International network, and our new brand will play an important part in helping us to achieve those goals.”
