Bill Knox joined TIAA Kaspick in 2012 after serving for more than seven years as vice president of legal services at Crescendo Interactive, Inc. In his current role, he advises clients on all aspects surrounding charitable organizations including planned giving, complex assets, legal, tax, and administration issues. He regularly presents on a variety of topics at both regional and national events. Mr. Knox has a BA from the California State University, Chico. He received his JD from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America and his LLM in tax from Loyola Law School.
Denise Johnson advises TIAA Kaspick management and staff on legal, tax, and regulatory requirements that affect charitable gift planning and the administration, gift annuities, and other planned giving arrangements. Prior to joining TIAA, Ms. Johnson was a senior advisor to nonprofit organizations including private foundations, large universities, healthcare systems, and charitable trusts. Denise received a JD from Florida A&M University College of Law and a Masters of Law in Taxation from University of Florida Levin College of Law.

Gail Perry is the editor-in-chief of CPA Practice Advisor. A veteran of accounting journalism, she also speaks at many accounting events, trade shows, and webinars. Gail is the author of over 30 books (including Mint.com For Dummies, The Idiot’s Guide to Introductory Accounting, and Surviving Financial Downsizing: A Practical Guide to Living Well on Less Income), and she maintains a small tax practice. Gail is a graduate of Indiana University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She returned to school to study accounting at Illinois State University, earned her CPA, and worked for Deloitte in Chicago for several years as a state and local tax accountant. She has taught introductory accounting and personal finance courses, and she is a former computer applications instructor at the Indiana CPA Society. Gail is a member of the AICPA’s PFS Credential Committee.
