Embedded tax software provider April introduced AprilPro, an AI-powered filing solution to meet the evolving needs of taxpayers who have complex financial situations.
AprilPro pulls in data from existing financial accounts, reducing the time spent gathering documents. Users can also easily upload files as needed, and a qualified tax professional will review and finalize each filing.
“This combines the simplicity of April’s digital interview with professional oversight to give clients a streamlined, comprehensive tax filing experience,” April said in a blog post.
Financial services partners embedding AprilPro will be able to support their clients that own corporations, are partners in real estate investment trusts, and that may be subject to the alternative minimum tax, among other situations. Supported forms include K-1, 1099-B, 1099-DA, and Schedule E.
“The intuitive digital flow seamlessly syncs with already available data from within the partner’s platform, mitigating the burden of gathering documents and data,” April said. “Users can easily upload additional tax documents and then have a qualified tax professional review and prepare their filing. This hybrid model builds on April’s easy-to-use and intelligent DIY tax-filing experience which uses AI to reduce the number of questions a filer has to answer in order to accelerate filing.”
Ben Borodach, co-founder and CEO of April, said the company is focused on creating a seamless bridge between tax filing and financial services.
“AprilPro takes our platform to the next level by accommodating more complex tax needs within a familiar, trusted environment,” he added. “Our goal is to make tax filing simple, accurate, and accessible—especially for clients with intricate financial situations.”
