The CPA branch of Grant Thornton, one of America’s largest audit, assurance, tax and advisory services firms, has been named the 2024 “U.S. Audit Firm of the Year” by Private Equity Wire.

The Private Equity Wire U.S. Awards recognize excellence among private equity fund managers and service providers in the U.S., across a wide range of categories. This accolade marks the firm’s second consecutive recognition by this organization, having been previously named “Best Middle Market Firm” in 2023.

“In today’s ever-changing landscape, it’s critical that we equip our clients with the insights needed to make informed decisions,” said Greg Westfall, national managing principal of Private Equity at Grant Thornton Advisors LLC, the non-attest entity of the Grant Thornton brand in the U.S. “This award highlights Grant Thornton’s ability to provide tailored solutions to meet the changing needs of our private equity clients and their portfolio companies.”

Janet Malzone, CEO of Grant Thornton LLP, echoed Westfall’s sentiment, noting the firm’s unwavering commitment to audit quality.

“For nearly 100 years, Grant Thornton has been providing exceptional audit and assurance services to the domestic and global marketplace,” said Malzone. “We operate with quality as our North Star and are committed to providing the highest possible audit quality for every client, on every engagement, every day.”
