Day One Recap (December 18, 2024):

Day 1, Session 1: Firm Culture: What Is It and Why Do You Need It?:

There’s a lot of conversation around the need for a positive, vibrant, identifiable firm culture as a means for attracting and retaining firm members. But what does this really mean

Session 2: Think Like a Hacker to Protect Your Firm! – Sponsored by Rightworks.

Think you haven’t been hacked? Think again. In this session you’ll learn how to protect yourself, your family, and your firm from being breached.

Session 3: Providing an Ideal Client Experience – Sponsored by Botkeeper

Client expectations are changing, and your firm needs to amend and modernize its strategies and services in order to continue providing an excellent client experience.

Session 4: Tax to Financial Planning and Recurring Revenue – Sponsored by Xero

As tax preparation becomes more commoditized, successful tax accountants are leaning into offering more financial-friendly year-round services to their clients. Not only does this take some of the pressure off of busy season, but the client relationships become more sticky, valuable, and everlasting due to a more ongoing presence in the financial lives of your clients.

Session 5: New Year’s Resolutions: Developing Capacity and a Plan for the Life You Want- Sponsored by CPA.com

It sounds like a cliché, but we only have one life to live, so why not make sure it’s the life you want? In this session we will put you front and center with your vision for the ideal work/life arrangement you need to have in order to achieve personal success.

Session 6: Accounting Practice Management – All Things Tech – Sponsored by Canopy

It’s time to get organized! Accountants are masters at organizing the financial affairs of our clients, but when it comes to our own practices, some of us could use some guidance.

Session 7: Generative AI and Your Accounting Firm

You’ve no doubt heard of at least some of these terms: Generative AI, ChatGPT, CoPilot, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DALL-E – the list goes on and on and will keep getting longer. But what do any of these tools and their counterparts have to do with accountants, accounting services, accounting firms, accounting clients?

The annual event, produced by CPA Practice Advisor, allows CPAs to wrap up their continuing education requirements before the end of the year, from the convenience of their own desk or mobile device. Now in its second decade, Ensuring Success draws nearly 5,000 online attendees each year.

What Makes Ensuring Success Different?
