Columbus, OH-based top 100 accounting firm GBQ Partners acquired Cincinnati-based CPA firm Wirth Lowe Wissemeier CPAs (WLW), effective Dec. 16, 2024.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. WLW associates will now serve clients from GBQ’s Cincinnati office. As part of the acquisition, GBQ also announced that Glenn Wissemeier and Beth Herman have joined the GBQ team as partners. They both bring extensive experience in financial statement accounting, business and individual income tax, and consulting services for businesses and their owners.

WLW is a welcome addition to the GBQ family, and we look forward to working together to further empower our region’s business community with our combined expertise and experience.”
Robert Wirth and Steven Lowe founded WLW in the mid-1980s. In 2004, after nearly a decade of working at Grant Thornton, Wissemeier joined its ranks. In 2006, after being named partner, “Wissemeier” was added to the firm’s legal name, and WLW was formed. Herman was brought on in 2007 after building her experience at Grant Thornton and, later, Cincinnati Bell. In 2009, she was named partner.
