State CPA Society News and Updates – January 2025

State CPA Society News & Updates is a selection of recent announcements and initiatives by CPA associations in the United States and its territories.

State CPA Society News & Updates is a selection of recent announcements and initiatives by CPA associations in the United States and its territories.

The Wyoming Society of CPAs (WYOCPA) announced its annual meeting will take place on May 29, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming. The meeting will take place at The Barn by the Five Deuces and will begin at 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

The Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA) has announced that they will begin selecting nominees to fill open leadership positions starting May 1, 2025. PICPA members had until December 31 to nominate themselves of others to fill various positions within the Institute including:

  • President
  • President-elect
  • Vice president
  • Treasurer
  • PICPA Board Member
  • PICPA Council Member

The Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA) is currently seeking volunteers for a variety of committees within the Society. Members interested in volunteering should complete and forward their volunteer application to the Society by January 24, 2025.

The Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MOCPA) will offer 2025 Missouri State-Specific Ethics: A Plain English Guide. The webinar will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. The cost to attend the online class is $50 for MOCPA members, with non-members paying $75.
