Weeks after merging in San Francisco-based boutique accounting firm Bogdan & Frasco, top 400 firm SD Mayer & Associates announced another deal on Monday, this time joining forces with Ronald Ruttenberg & Co. CPAs, a Burlingame, CA-based firm specializing in tax, accounting, and consulting services.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Since its founding in 2004, RRC has provided clients with expertise in tax, bookkeeping, consulting, and property management services, among others.
“The firm’s commitment to fostering close relationships and delivering exceptional results aligns seamlessly with SD Mayer’s mission to help clients succeed in business and in life,” San Francisco-based SD Mayer said in a Jan. 27 media release.
RRC founder Ronald Ruttenberg, a 40-year veteran of the accounting profession who has joined SD Mayer in a leadership role, said the merger is an exciting chapter for both firms.
“I have always believed in providing clients with personalized, high-quality service, and SD Mayer shares this ethos,” he said. “By joining forces, we are not only expanding our resources and capabilities but also ensuring that our clients continue to receive the exceptional service they deserve, while remaining local in San Mateo.”
By integrating RRC into SD Mayer, the two firms are building on their shared commitment to helping clients achieve their financial goals, said Steve Mayer, managing partner of SD Mayer & Associates.
“This merger is not just about combining expertise but about creating new opportunities for our clients, employees, and communities,” he said. “Ron and his team have built an incredible firm rooted in trust, expertise, and a true dedication to clients. We are thrilled to welcome them into the SD Mayer family. Together, we will continue to deliver the highest level of service while expanding our footprint and strengthening our capabilities.”
SD Mayer, a member of the BDO Alliance, also has offices in San Mateo, San Leandro, and Menlo Park, CA, along with consultants located in other locations throughout the country.
