Cloud enterprise resource planning provider Acumatica announced this week several updates and enhancements it will release in 2025 for small and midsized businesses.
They include:
- Acumatica Labs: Acumatica Labs will establish a customer preview program, enabling early access to new features for testing and direct feeback. Features such as advanced kitting, order orchestration, customer special orders, case closure notes, B2B ordering, document templates, and AI-powered anomaly detection will be available for users who sign up.
- Acumatica AI Studio: Acumatica AI Studio will enable business process experts to automate complex workflows without coding and gain insights into their data with better decision-making, all while ensuring sensitive information remains secure.
- Industry-specific solutions: Product updates designed to meet specific industry needs include:
- Distribution: Price and catalog control and the ability to sell unique items using lot and serial attributes.
- Manufacturing: Real-time view of material availability for all open production orders and new advanced planning and scheduling views.
- Construction: Proforma project billing enhancements, project information in AP documentation recognition, additional collaboration tools and strategic partnerships with STACK and JobPlanner.
- Retail: Expanded partnership with Shopify to connect online storefronts to back-end operations in one ecosystem.
- Professional services: Native ProjectManager integration for resource planning and project scheduling.

Acumatica Chief Information Officer Jeff Smits emphasized that trust and security are at the core of Acumatica’s AI strategy.
