Holladay, UT-based Platform Accounting Group has added New York City-based AKM Advisors, formerly known as Adelman Katz & Mond, an accounting firm that has been in practice for more than 35 years and offers a wide range of financial services to clients.
Founded in 2015, Platform Accounting Group acquires and supports the operations of smaller accounting firms. Last year, 12 accounting firms joined Platform. The company has more than doubled in size every year over the last seven years and has nearly 1,000 employees across 15 states.
This is Platform’s largest New York addition to date and expands the business advisory services the group offers to clients. Last July, B.A. Silver & Co., based in New York City, joined Platform Business Advisors, part of the professional services arm of Platform Accounting Group, to build out its advisory services focused on the restaurant and food service industry.
AKM Advisors provides a range of consulting, finance, tax, and technology solutions to help closely held businesses maximize profitability. The group delivers personal service to high-net-worth individuals, not-for-profits, estates, and trusts. The firm also offers business succession planning, incorporation/business formation, insurance review, and more.
