What is your favorite part of being a member of the accounting profession?

My favorite aspect is the transformative impact we have on our clients and team members alike. I enjoy guiding clients through the intricate business journey, from inception to strategic exits. Watching as their goals become a reality is immensely rewarding. Plus, nurturing the growth of our team members, witnessing their progression to partners, and celebrating their successes is truly gratifying.

How have you personally seen the roles of women evolve in the accounting profession?

I have seen a significant evolution in women’s roles within the accounting profession. While there’s been progress, there remains a pressing need to advance gender diversity in leadership roles further. I take pride in being part of this trailblazing journey, especially as I see my daughter entering her profession with opportunities far beyond what I encountered in my early career.

What do you anticipate will be the biggest change in the accounting profession in the next 10 years?

Over the next decade, I anticipate the accounting profession will undergo a profound transformation driven by the rapid adoption and adaptation of technology. This disruptive pace of technological evolution will revolutionize how we deliver services not only to our clients but also to the broader business community. This shift will entail a deeper integration of analytical capabilities, enabling us to provide insights that drive business growth and strategies both internally and externally.

What is your favorite professional mobile app, and why?

LinkedIn – It serves as a powerful platform where I can witness our clients’ achievements, celebrate our team members’ successes, and stay connected with industry trends and thought leaders. The ability to network and engage with professionals across various sectors fosters collaboration and facilitates opportunities for growth and learning.

What books have you read recently that you would like to recommend?

One book I highly recommend is “The Goal” by Eliyahu Goldratt and Jeff Cox. Its practical insights and narrative make it a valuable resource for professionals seeking to enhance their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
