Thomson Reuters has released several updates to GoFileRoom, aiming to improve its overall look and feel. Enhancements to the web-based document management software include a new search function, and support for digital signatures in Adobe PDF file.

Improvements to the search function allow users to search for documents containing blank index values, search for multiple documents at once and search multiple drawers simultaneously. The updated TaxSort function now identifies tax forms such as customizable bookmark categories and offers additional menu options for Adobe PDF files.

Other enhancements give users the ability to add digital signatures to existing documents in GoFileRoom, search for FirmFlow notes and attachments in FirmFlow reports, and perform mass updates on Partner In Charge, workflow step routing assignments, information fields, and deliverable due dates.

“For more and more tax and accounting professionals, working with documents electronically is becoming the default option,” said Scott Fleszar, vice president, Strategic Marketing, Tax & Accounting, Thomson Reuters. “GoFileRoom’s innovation has advanced that transition over the years, and we’re working hard to make sure it maintains its leadership role in the profession.”
