Preparers Can Experience TaxWorks 2012 at IRS Nationwide Tax Forums

Tax preparers will have the opportunity to preview beta versions of TaxWorks 2012 at six IRS Nationwide Tax Forums and other tax shows this summer.

TaxWorks, developer of professional tax preparation software, recently announced plans to take its tax software on the road this summer. Tax preparers will have the opportunity to preview beta versions of TaxWorks 2012 at six IRS Nationwide Tax Forums and other tax shows this summer.

RedGear Technologies also has plans to release also release preview editions to the public later this summer. The updated version will feature an updated user interface and workflow, enhanced client search, real-time dashboard with news and alerts and customizable to-do lists.

“We’ve spent more than two years taking the best of previous versions of TaxWorks, made them better, and added functions that will help preparers manage their clients better and prepare taxes more efficiently,” said TaxWorks President, Chip Coons.

With TaxWorks 2012, preparers can have multiple tax returns open simultaneously, allowing them to work on a current year return while maintaining a view of the return from a the previous year. Preparers can also create multiple tax return scenarios for clients to aid in tax planning, filing status analysis and amended returns, without having to make changes to the original return.

The latest version of the software includes automatic updates using an active internet connection following the initial installation process. New tax years will be added each year for paid subscribers.
