CPA Practice Advisor Presents 8th Annual Awards in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES – June 6, 2011 – Accountants, tax professionals and their clients are increasingly turning to the cloud and SaaS-based technologies, and this year’s Tax & Accounting Technology Innovation Awards highlighted many new workflow tools, programs and devices that aid in professional and business productivity.
The Awards, now in their eighth year, were presented by CPA Practice Advisor on Monday, June 6 during a special event at the California Accounting and Business Show & Conference in Los Angeles. The Awards are designed to honor technologies that are either new to market, or have recently undergone significant advancement, and that hold exceptional promise for positively impacting the profession through enhanced workflow, increased accessibility, improved client collaboration or other means. The recipients of the Tax & Accounting Innovation Awards for 2011 are Thomson Reuters for its Mobile CS app; Fujitsu for the ScanSnap S1100 scanner; Bill.com for its new Accounts Receivable module; New River Innovation for the Beyond415 IRS response system; and CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, for Knowledge Coach, which provides research, guidance, tools and a workflow engine for enhancing audit efficiency. Honorable Mention recognition was also extended to Freshbooks and to CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business for its CCH Mobile research app.
