The Blueprints are based on the knowledge and skills required of a newly licensed CPA in today’s world.

The standards provide a framework for the development, presentation, measurement, and reporting of CPE programs.

During the past two weeks, 67 TXCPA volunteer members provided more than 50 career presentations and reached more than 1,335 Texas students.

Educators and accounting professionals developed the Framework to define the skills-based competencies students need as they enter the profession.

The Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA)is celebrating CPA Week from November 7-11, to promote and honor those working within the accounting profession.

G. Edgar “Eddie” Adkins Jr., CPA, was presented the Arthur J. Dixon Award and Mary Kay Foss, CPA, received the Jonathan Horn Distinguished Service Award.

To date, more than 475 CPAs have participated in the AICPA Leadership Academy, many of whom have gone on to leadership positions within their firms, businesses or volunteer organizations.

The Indiana CPA Society’s statewide 18th annual CPA Day of Service was Sept. 30, when teams from 14 organizations completed 15 service projects in 8 Indiana communities: Delphi, Elkhart, Fort Wayne, Greensburg, Indianapolis, Noblesville, South Bend and Winona Lake.
