Pennsylvania Income Tax E-Filing Underway

Pennsylvania residents who file personal income tax returns were able to begin filing electronically for the 2012 tax year this week, despite the delay until Jan 30 for federal 1040 returns. Taxpayers using the combined Federal/State e-file service will need to wait until the end of the month.

FedEx donates Boeing 727 to College Aviation Science program

FedEx Express has donated a Boeing 727-200F to California Baptist University for use by its new aviation science program. The cargo jet made its final taxi today after landing at the Riverside Municipal Airport. The aircraft will be on permanent display at the airport and will provide a working laboratory for aviation science students.

Texas sales tax revenues climb by 9.4%

Texas saw its sales tax collections rise again in December, with revenue of $2.17 billion, an increase of 9.4 percent over the same month last year, the state comptroller's office said Wednesday.
