The Bay State's economy will grow slowly this year before bouncing back in 2014, while the state's unemployment rate is poised to fall to 5.2 percent by the last quarter of 2017, according to an economic forecast released today by the New England Economic Partnership.

After receiving nearly 300 applications, Roger CPA Review has announced their 2013 Roger Spirit Scholarship recipients, selected from students across the nation. In addition to the Roger Spirit Scholarship, Roger CPA Review awards over 115 scholarships at individual campuses each year.

Higher payroll taxes and federal sequestration spending cuts are keeping the Bay State stuck in a "soft patch" of economic growth that could last until the end of the year unless federal fiscal policy changes are put into immediate action, experts said yesterday, as new numbers show the state losing jobs.
