Iowa enacts online sales tax law

Gov. Terry Branstad signed "e-fairness" legislation Tuesday designed to level the playing field for Iowa businesses by closing a loophole that allows out-of-state, online-only retailers to offer customers a purchase price without collecting the state's sales tax.

Small businesses bouncing back after tornadoes

Business will soon be booming in Moore, said City Manager Stephen Eddy. While 36 businesses were destroyed and others affected by power outages and restricted access following the devastation of the May 20 F-5 tornado, the city is bouncing back.
