Recent Career Highlights
I am responsible for key membership bodies at the AICPA such as the top 100 US accounting firms.  When developing meeting content and resources for the C-suite leaders in these firms, I think it’s important to address the technical aspects of the profession in addition to the skills needed to help these leaders grow their firms given the constantly changing landscape and unique needs of today’s workforce.  It’s also important to me that we provide an environment where these firms can share challenges, ideas, and best practices to learn from one another.

I also lead the PCPS Executive Committee, various resource development initiatives and communications for PCPS members, the Life Insurance & Disability Plans committee and assist with the AICPA & CIMA ENGAGE conference planning.

What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?
I am actively involved with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) after suicide tragically affected our family in 2018. My husband and I are now committed to mental health awareness and to date have raised over $85,000 for AFSP to hopefully save lives and bring hope to others affected by suicide. In line with this passion, I led the creation of mental health resources for AICPA members to implement within their own firms and I continue to add this topic to practitioner meeting agendas when applicable. I am committed to reducing the stigma associated with mental health and to continue the conversation around the importance of mental wellness both inside and outside the CPA profession.

Current Professional Reading / Listening
We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, and Amanda Doyle is my favorite podcast. This powerful trio bravely and honestly share their stories and the stories of those they interview. Their transparent conversations encourage me to not only think in a different and more inclusive way, but they also remind me to stay true to myself and remember what truly matters in a world full of crazy expectations and comparison traps.
